DOCOsoft is an innovative developer of claims management, document management and workflow software solutions for the global insurance and financial services markets.
DOCOsoft has established itself as the provider of leading-edge claims management, document management and workflow solutions. They are well established in the UK and their software is widely used in the City of London. DOCOsoft systems process in excess of $1bn of claims per annum in the City of London alone.
DOCOsoft wanted to better leverage modern cloud technologies so that it could move to a SaaS platform. This would enable it to improve scalability, performance and embed cloud-based AI technologies into its solution.
DOCOsoft approached Spanish Point to leverage Microsoft Azure to successfully include innovative technologies in their solution. To assist them with the migration process, DOCOsoft reached out to Spanish Point’s team on a SMART AIM application migration assessment to review DOCOsoft’s existing application architecture, the technologies used and the performance criteria.
Over a series of technical workshops, that included the DOCOsoft CEO, CTO, lead developers and the Spanish Point team, the various options were subjected to a SWOT analysis and an initial target architecture was agreed with a future road map for the migration of the DOCOsoft application to Azure. This included the design and implementation of modern DevOps pipelines to support CI/CD. Additionally, Spanish Point provided training to DOCOsoft’s software developers in developing for the cloud and Azure Pipelines.
Spanish Point worked with DOCOsoft under our Smart AIM and ISV Specialist Program. This program is supported by Microsoft’s head office in Seattle and Spanish Point are one of only 45 partners worldwide selected for inclusion.
DOCOsoft now benefits from the features of our SMART AIM migration solution. By gaining insights into the cloud, they now are optimising costs and getting the most of their cloud investment.
They also benefited from a detailed Azure topology and consumption plan to support various DOCOsoft customer types. DOCOsoft then selected an initial customer for deployment to Azure with Spanish Point providing the SMART AIM IaC (Infrastructure as Code) needed to create a cloud environment using scripts and, by an IaC approach, they are able to reduce errors and costs and increase predictability.
They also implemented a modern DevOps pipeline that now supports them in the automated deployment of updates to their customers; moving them along the CI/CD road map.
As a result, DOCOsoft have now embraced the Microsoft Azure Cloud. DOCOsoft’s claims software solutions enable companies to handle claims and other insurance documentation more efficiently. They have deployed many different business solutions and have a proven track record across various vertical markets.
By leveraging Spanish Point’s expertise and the SMART AIM solution, they are able to accelerate implementation and implement a modern DevOps approach, improving the quality and frequency of their software updates by reducing the many previous manual steps required to issue software updates to DOCOsoft’s customers. This saves on costs and improves the overall quality of software, improving DOCOsoft’s profitability and customer satisfaction scores.
“DOCOsoft systems underpin the processing of billions of euros of insurance claims across tens of thousands of transactions every year. Our customers need absolute confidence in our systems. The Spanish Point team helped us design and implement our modern DevOps processes. By leveraging their expertise and Smart AIM library we were able to accelerate the implementation. This was a critical part of our migration to Azure and move towards modern CI/CD and improving the quality and frequency of our software updates“Aidan O’Neill
